According to RJ's website, the current YYZ service is a code-share through London. I don't know who operates it, though. Searching the database here, it looks like it used to be RJ A310 and L1011 in the mid '90s.

on july 31st 1992, when i flew PIA YYZ-FRA-KHI, at departure time around 8-9pm, I saw a RJ Tristar L1011-500 at the gate about to get ready for take off too.

That was the year too i think that they suspended YYZ.

SQ suspended YYZ in July 92 and I was at Pearson with an uncle who took me there to see its last B 747 take off for either VIE or FRA on its way to SIN. I think that it was B 744!!!

I remember seeing RJ Tristar many times at YMX. YMX was a stopover while YYZ was the terminus.

Yes Royal Jordanian indeed flew AMM-AMS-YYZ with a L1011. Although RJ did not have traffic rights on the AMS-YYZ sector. And off course they operated AMM-AMS-JFK 4-5 times a week with traffic rights, and later also to ORD

I really mis these L1011 Birds!

I believe I saw the L1011 of Royal Jordanian in 1997. But I don't think they flew to Toronto for long.

Royal Jordanian did in fact fly both the A310 and the L1011 to YYZ. I remember seeing them at YYZ parked at Terminal 2. I also called once to find out what time the aircraft would take off, and was shocked not to find a recorded message, as it went right to somebody's phone line at the airport. He was very curious why I was calling to find out what time the aircraft took off, and that scared me from calling any airline again to find out such information.  Big grin
