The NYC market as a whole.

Include all 6 airports in the area. JFK, LGA, EWR, ISP, HPN, Newburgh (code?)

Who has the most departures, the most seats, and the most pax boarded?

Mainline only and mainline/regional

My uneducated guess is CO on all categories.

Including all 6 airports, what are the top 5 destinations, seatwise and pax wise?

Thanx for your answers.

I think you are right on CO. I would guess top 5 are: London, LAX, ORD, FLL and BOS or Washington.

I would speculate on JetBlue or AA being no.2, as they are the largest at JLK.

The numbers from Islip, Westchester and Newburgh would not change the list of top 6.

There's just not enough traffic, besides those airports really serve a very small (miniscule) number of passengers heading to or from NYC. They serve the outer Suburbs in Long Island, Westchester and Orange Counties, Islip is 50 miles from Manhattan.

I would have thought US Air would have a nice share of the market too. The thing with CO is that if you took away EWR- they have very little presence. Unless EWR is convenient for you geographically- CO barely enters the equation.

If I had to guess the TOP 5 O&D (includes airport groups like FLL/MIA, DCA/IAD) it would be: Miami area, Boston, Washington, Chicago, Los Angeles area, London. I guess that is 6- but what the hell!

So what? The same could be said for removing JFK from B6, AA, or DL's equation.  Insane
