Qantas some time again announced that they won't change their B747/767 fleet policy in the next time; about SAS and KLM as well as Alitalia it is said that they're going for A340/A330s; especially for SAS the B777 would be too large.
Air India is still evaluating both Boeing and Airbus, maybe they chose a mixture; Air New Zealand could be a future-B777-customer.

I highly doubt SAS will buy the 777.

KLM has decided to stick with the MD-11 and go after more second hand examples. I doubt that SAS will purchase the 777 but what about the 767-400ER? They already operate the 767-300ER. This along with the fact that they purchased a large quantity of B737NGs.

I know Air France, KLM and Alitalia have asked Boeing to produce an aircrafts that would be able to fly from Europe to West United States, in order to replace their old B747-200.

Air France has the 777, they fly it to Rio de Janeiro.

Also, Varig ordered 5 of them, among orders for some 30 new Boeing airliners.
