In terms of overservice, I would have to say US. Granted they carry 40 percent of our traffic It just seems as if the BUF market is overserviced by them. In terms of underservice, I would like to see FL make an attempt to really add some service here. ROC has FL flights to BWI, and I think PHL, while BUF only has flights to ATL. If FL service to buffalo included BWI, compete with WN and PHL, compete with US, it may help them out in our market, more choices, more flights, get the name out. Another airline that could really add some service to one destination would be WN. If anything they should open up service to MDW and compete directly with AA and UA...just my thoughts... how about your airports... Chris in Buffalo.

JFK: Overserved, none (maybe jetBlue, but you can excuse them with their headquarters there)
Underserved: UA (no flights between JFK and either ORD or DEN?!?!? Way to just give away any domestic non-transcon traffic to other carriers), NW (two DC-9's to DTW and one DC-9 to MSP, once again, way to just give away the market), CO (one daily ERJ to CLE and a 735 to IAH, understandable here due to their second-largest hub being just 21 miles away), and US (doesn't even serve the airport, but again understandable, with their second-largest hub being 94 miles away, and their largest outstation being 11 miles away)
Please note: these distances are as the Airbus (or, in CO's case, the Boeing) flies, so please don't look up the actual car distance on mapquest...

Underserved: COS, this airport has tons of potential in my opinion. New facilities, vacant gates, good population base, central location, picturesque views, ski and mountain access. Truly COS is underserved in WestPac's absence.

Here in Charlotte (CLT) US carries about 94% of our traffic. Most of the passengers are transit passengers due to CLT being one of US Airways' major hubs. But for those of us living here it's quite nice being able to get non-stops to just about anywhere in the US, along with many US non-stops to Caribbean locations and dailys to London and Frankfurt.
If one plans far enough in advance, reasonable fares are there to be found. But business travelers have a tougher time finding low fares out of CLT on US. For that reason, Delta, ATA, American and Northwest usually don't seem to have too much trouble filling the few flights a day from CLT to their various hub locations.
...let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

No service markets that could be tapped... These are all ERJ routes.. New Bern-JFK, New Bern - Washington, DC, EWN -any Florida destination.. EWN only has CLT routes on USAirways... talking about underserved!

I think PVD is well served in genaral by each airline with a few "minor" lapses in service.
No MIA service on AA (rumored, but not confirmed) 100+ O&D (not to mention the plethora of potential connecting pax) pax already fy the route with a stop somewhere.
The 1 daily M80 DFW flight on AA has been full & profitable (from AA station mgr.) that I'm surprised that a second hasn't been added yet.
2 M80/1 ER4 to CVG on DL (a 4th frequency in early afternoon to fill an 8 hour gap in service - I'll take another ER4 at least)
MCO - PVD's second largest market with over 500,000 O&D pax - has only 4 nonstops on WN. We lost 2 very well performing/full flights with the demise of DLX and no Song replacement. US threw in a token Sat. only, but we need 2 more daily n/s on WN or Song or maybe even US.
FLL - Anyone could add 2 daily's on this one...PVD sees 400+ O&D pax a day most days of the year with no nonstop service. WN, NK, US, or even SONG are reasonable candidates for this one.
PBI - same as FLL with about 300+ daily O&D pax - 1 nonstop woud be a huge start.
LAS - similar traffic as FLL/PBI - maybe HP or WN could start a daily on this route.
SAN & LAX - because of PVD short runway (to be lengthened in 5 years or so), it would have to be done on a 757, so it might be too soon/feasable right now...

Im in RNO and some days you could mistake this joint for Love Field we have to many WN planes parked around the airport.
Underserved- How many airlines can i list? AA for SURE- they bought up QQ and left us high and dry with not much service to anywhere cept ORD and DFW twice a day or so I think. UAL is only doing DEN and SFO, and both are expensive, ESPECIALLY SFO. CO and NW only have a few flights a day to their hubs, and DL has to serve Elko out of here en route to SLC. All I ask is more than two daily nonstops to LAX- bring em back AA!
I guess it kinda makes sense because we are a leisure market and in the middle of nowhere really.... another reason i need to move!
