I saw "kindergarten Cop" a week ago on TBS. Towards the beginning it showed an AS MD-80. This particular MD-80 had a very different interior than other AS MD-80's I have been in before. Could this have been a MD-82 or is it a '83? Does anyone know the reg. of this particular A/C? I know that the inside was AS because of the pattern on the seat coverings (they were different seats too), and the breakfast cart had "Alaska" decals on the side. The plane was in Alaska's current livery. Could this have been a Ex. Jet America bird? Hopefully some of you AS guys (and gals) can give me some info.

That movie came out in 1990, as Alaska was introducing
the new livery.
I am not positive, but I think that the MD featured was either
945 or 946. Both are no longer in the fleet.
I don't know about those 2 tails having different interiors.
It is possible that it was a Hollywood version of the real thing..ie a
mockup and not a real interior.
Good publicity at the time though.

n730as, Its a movie, they probably bought a stock clip of an AS MD-80 landing and used a set for the interior.
