Dear all,

at around 1300 I saw an EasyJet A319 take off at Hamburg airport (not the Airbus plant!!!) runway 23. What would it be doing here? I am not aware of EasyJet serving Hamburg.
Anybody knows?

Regards

StarFlyer

Could be a technical diversion.

Starflyer, have you recently read Hamilton's "Pandora's Star"?  Big grin

Could also have been a test flight. It's not unusual for Airbus to use Fuhlsbuttel for such flights. Another reason could be to do with Lufthansa Technik having a base at HAM and they may be servicing EasyJet's A319 fleet - although that is speculation on my part.

It definitely was a touch-and-go. During its pre-delivery flight testing phase every aircraft does touch-and-gos at nearby airports (with HAJ, BRE and HAM being the most common ones).

Lufthansa Technik doesn't serve easyJet and I don't know about an A319 diversion to Hamburg (HAM).
