Ya well I wasn't exactly going for the smoothest most professional video I could create here. I just wanted to show the experience that is Maho Beach at St. Maarten. The takeoff's are an attraction of their own. Everyone lines the fence and holds on for dear life. The 747 takeoff actually blew the lenses of the camera down so that all you can see is the base of the fence. I actually had my head turned toward the water so that I didn't get hit with anything in the face. The poor guy next to me got 3 cuts on his face from the jetblast. I had a few bruises on my arm and 1 bump on the head when it was all done. Was it worth it tho? You better believe it!

Last time I was in SXM, the blast from the Corsair 743 was really lame, much less than the 757s.... I thought that a bit odd. But holding on to the fence on takeoff is great

The blast from the 747 was intense. For some reason, the A340 blast was not all that it seemed to be this time tho. I think it has a lot to do with the captain and how the plane is positioned. The Corsair captain in the video waved to all of us before he got in position. I think he held the brakes a few extra seconds to send all of us in the bay!
