UAL 777 In Las Vegas On Sunday

I was at the D concourse flying home to ATL on DL from LAS on Sunday around 10:30 in the AM.

I noticed across the hall at gate D37 that there was a 777 from UAL there. The departure sign at the gate stated that she was headed for SFO.

Does UAL usually fly a 777 from LAS to SFO, or was this some kind of charter?

Does anyone know about this?

Please advise...

Not sure what that was... SABRE lists all UA flights from LAS to SFO as Ted A320s. There is a flight to SFO at 10:37, but no 777.

I was at SFO going on a 772 to HNL on Sunday and there was a 744 going to Vegas at a nearby gate. I've been hearing through the grapevine that we added extra segments to handle all the Spring Break loads. I know for a fact we flew extra 744 segments in and out of LHR over the past couple of weeks.

I was in SFO, and saw the 777 parked at the gate operating a TED flight to LAS - probably the same one. Flight was delayed by at least an hour or so - was an early morning flight. The easyinfo displays at the gate advised that the aircraft had been delayed - can't remember why. Gate area did not look definitely busy. But you weren't seeing things - 777 definitely operated TED flight from SFO to LAS.
