I was on a flight from TPA to DEN on F9 the other day. I noticed the flight attendants pulling down some boxes from the aft section of the airplane (specifically, an A-319). They then used the boxes as impromptu seats so they could sit in the galley and chat amongst themselves. I am curious what is in those boxes. Spare parts? Extra galley supplies? I'm just curious.
By the way, when I went back to use the restroom, I overheard the flight attendants talking and one said she really liked the longer flights since it gives them a chance to relax a little.

I don't know, but on NW we have some ice storage tubs that fit into the galley carts, that we make an improv. seat from.
