My friend applied for a job at this place called wannado city in Fort Lauderdale...
supposedly, they are a "city" for 4-11 year olds. They are hireing actors tomorrow and saturday.

This is an indoor park that will be near Sawgrass Mills Mall:
One of their main attractions is a plane..a REAL plane! They are hireing actors to be "pilots" during this weekend. I plan on applying for a job there.

The plane is a Sweedish DC9, wings removed and all. So, how did they get this from Sweden to Fort Laudedale...The plane was not flyable.

they plan on opeing July 1, 2004 in Sawgrass and in 2005 in New Jersey.

just wanted to get the word out...whish they had this when I was younger!

Here's a news story about it:

The mall in New Jersey is opening in Secaucus near Mill Creek Mall and the new Wal-Mart and Sam's Club they are building.

Is the DC-9 indoors or outdoors? Might be worth a quick drive-by if its outdoors next time Im down there...

its indoors...the whole park is indoors...but if you are ever in town, (and espically if you have kids), it might be worth the $24 admission fee! It is attatched to the mall right where the (don't know if its still there) Levi-Dockers outlet and maybe its now the Ecko outlet. It opens July 1, and they are not even showing pictures until at least June...but if I get a job there, I'll sneak a picture out  Big grin

There is already a Wannadoo city in Mexico City. Very popular concept. It is not indoors though, it is an outdoor theme park for children made up of a fictional city, with an airport, police station, fire station, TV station, etc., allowing children to "takeover" thier own town and do what ever they want to do (that's is where the name "wannado" comes from).
