The world's largest and most comprehensive Airline Ranking and Award giving research group SKYTRAX has placed QATAR AIRWAYS as the new entry in its list of 5 Star Airlines. Currently only Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific are the other airlines in this prestigious list.
With this new ranking, Qatar Airways becomes the first ever Gulf-Arab airline to be awarded the prestige of being ranked in the 5 Star club. Qatar's main rivals in the region namely Emirates and Gulf Air are presently designated 4 Star status.

Hi Subin!
As far as I know, LH and QR have a code share agreement between Munich and Doha. So maybe you can book them on your RTW trip. The question is how to continue from DOH. I'm not sure if Thai serves DOH from BKK.

I was just going to say that but I dont think so that codeshared flights of non Star partners applies to the ROW tkt. Otherwise then the choice if u include the codeshare partners of each STAR partner would be huge.
I wouldnt bet on u being allowed to fly QR MUC-DOH !!!

QR serve alchohol on all their routes. They are a great airline and deserve this title, but with my personal experience they are amazing on European routes, but on mideast routes they are much worse in terms of service.
