I'm thinking about going to Thailand at the end of next month. I found two cheapest price from DL (operated by KE) and NW. I don't have any experience with neither of them. I guess I can collect delta skymiles with both airlines (right?). Does any of you guys have advice? Thanks

I would go with KE, simply because of the shorter travel time. On NW you would have to go thru MSP or DTW and then NRT, where as on KE you would only go thru ICN. Just my two cents.

KE if time is an issue, NW if it's not (as has been mentioned, you can pick up a few more miles with NW's routing, something you might want to do as just a few more flights could possibly qualify you for Elite status).

And yes, you can collect SkyMiles with NW or KE on this route.

Thanks guys. I think I'll go with KE then since I only have a week. I havn't been home for almost 3 years. Anyways, does KE has IFE? and what is the seat config on 777 if anyone knows.

I have done KE on that route a couple of years back when they had the 744. Service is good. Food is excellent. You'll enjoy your ride. I believe seating is 2-5-2 (at least that's what it was on a 773 on the BKK-SEL sector back then), and when I flew them there were no personal seat back entertainment sets aboard the 744, 773, or the A333. Not sure if the 772 is any different, or if things have changed since then. But who needs IFE anyway?  Wink/being sarcastic I am sure you'll enjoy it with or without it.

I've flown on 9V-SPK.

I would go with NW you may not get PTV's or what. But you'll get alot more mileage, if that's what your looking for.

I'd take KE all the way there...I've heard good things about them lately.

Thanks guys. I decided to go with KE. Too bad the outbound flight I'll have to go through LAX. Good thing is that i'll be flying MD80(DL-DFW-LAX), 744(LAX-ICN), 773(ICN-BKK vv), and 772 (ICN-DFW). I wish ICN BKK were 330 since I have flown 773 before but not 330.
