Its cool to see a UA 744 going back to LAS. I think its been awhile since they have been on scheduled service, but at a time they were. In the late 90's i flew a 744 ORD-LAS and got an upgrade to J. (the aircraft was in the luxury configuration with a massive business class and only coach in the far back section). It was an awesome flight, needless to say!

Watched it land as well from the Mandalay Bay right before heading down for breakfast to meet up with TWAlives and the rest our group. Turns out it was an aircraft sub and was sent back to ORD. I saw it sitting at the D gates, too bad I was on the 1:30 flight to ORD and not the earlier one.
FYI- According to united.com, that aircraft then went from ORD to LAX and then onto SYD. Can someone confirm?
