i think they eventually willl but i think most of the US airlines need to get their act together before reinstating international service.  Smile

I think Continental would be the best bet to go to ARN at some point. In fact, I'm surprised they are flying to OSL instead of ARN. I don't know if the extra few hundred miles would be really stretching the range of the 757 though, which could be a real problem. Another possibility, just throwing it out there, is a 762 with continuing service from ARN to HEL or SVO. I don't think the loads could justify a 762 to Stockholm, but an additional segment could remedy that problem.

EWR-OSL is 3212nm
EWR-ARN is 3415nm

Max range for the 752 is 3900nm according to Boeings website. So ARN is well within the range.

Regarding AA/DL at Arlanda, I think DL will be first to return with the JFK service and AA hopefuly after with the ORD service. Miss those beautiful planes when I am home.

If the AA/BA codeshare continues to expand, and AA and BA grow closer together, AA might likely rely on this to funnel passengers to Scandinavia.

Just as DL will rely on AF and KL to funnel passengers to Scandinavia.

Next flights: MEX-GRU (AM 77E), GRU-GIG (JJ A320), SDU-CGH (G3 73H), GRU-MEX (JJ A332).
