I noticed in the latest issue of Aviation Week that the new CEO has removed himself from contract negotiations with Flight Attendants because negotiations are "getting personal".....So they bring in ole' Herb to fix the mess........

Failure is not an option.....

What's to miss? He didn't leave--just gave up two of his three titles... He's still here (saw him in the parking lot on Monday, actually).

The announcement that Jim Parker was turning the F/A negotiations over to Herb was made last week (4/19) at the "Message To The Field" meeting in DAL. Somebody over on Yahoo's LUV stock board posted a more-detailed account, if anyone's interested...

I'm amazed that this story has not gotten more interest on this board. It is very big news just about everywhere else in the online aviation world.
