I was wondering if anyone out there had an idea of when the 737's for FL will be put together. I'd really like to fly out there to get a factory tour and see our new birds (if Boeing will let me.) So if anyone out there can help I thank you in advence.

They said in the conference call yesterday that FL will take delivery of the first one in 44 days. I think they take 2 the first month so work must be close to completion.

Rumor had it (may have read it on A.net) that there were AirTran 737's already built and ready to go but just sitting at Boeing. Wouldn't suprise me. My guess is if they are that FL didn't take delivery for several reasons, i.e. no trained pilots, F/A's, FAA certs, etc....

The first fuselage section (Construction #YB371) was delivered to Renton this week. I believe they are constructed in Wichita then sent by rail to Renton for final assembly. The s/n is 1514 and msn is 32679. When completed, this 737-76N will owned by GECAS but delivered to AirTran as N126AT on or about June 10th.
