I am currently booked on Continental and Northwest to fly ATL-IAH-MSP-BIS on July 15, returning BIS-MSP-EWR-ATL on July 19. I will be going to Bismarck with my step-grandma who lives in Rockford, Illinois. So she can get to her departure airport by bus, she is going to fly out of ORD. She just wants me to book her seats when I think the price is good and she will reimburse me. My question is, what would be an decent price and what do you think the best I can get is? July 15 is a Thursday and the 19th is a Monday, so there is a Saturday night stay. The only requirements are that the flight out of ORD leaves 10:00a.m. (preferably a little later) and the flight back into ORD arrives by 8:30p.m. at the very latest. It does not matter what airline, but she does not want to go too out of the way (UA has a $315 fare, but it is through DEN).
I am not asking you all to be my travel agents and look up flights for me, but I just want to know what I should settle for given the above dates and requirements. At the moment, the best fare is $315 on NW and UA. Thank you very much!

Dear Airplanetire -
Since your grandmother does not care which airline she travels on, you should pay no more than the lowest fare of $315.

Thank you very much for your input! To get the schedule we want, it seems it will be more like $335. Is that a fare worth purchasing or should I wait?

Ok, if I heard you right, you want her to fly ORD-BIS on July 15th and BIS-ORD on July 19th. My system shows a Northwest fare that is available for $254 plus tax, so roughly $282 total. Fare basis code is KLE14NR .
Waiting is always a little risky, so if you're a gambler you may want to do it, but if you'd rather make sure you get a ticket for a somewhat acceptable price, book soon.

764, what do I need to do to find that fare? I went ahead and checked, but I could not find that $254 fare, even by entering the code you provided. Thank you so much for your help though! I plan on booking probably this weekend.
