Wednesday April 28th at about 4:00AM EST a Centurion Air Cargo DC10 crashed in BOG due to a "pothole" in the runway. The aircraft apparently went over the distance limit to stop, hit the hole, and the nose gear collapsed. The a/c finally came to a stop with its nose buried on the ground. Since it was so early in the morning there were no other people injured other than the crew and a humid area (humedal) helped the a/c to stop before it went on the street. The three crew members where slightly injured and where transfered to Santa Fe Hospital. I figure this was on RWY 13R? What's with the hole?
