Thanks a lot; I found that article very interesting, especially how it answered my doubts about the asphalt's strength and drying time. Found this picture of the progress as of late March.

Well that's 1,500 feet and all of it is ready to use the next day..

I would love to be a pilot that flyes in and out of there. My a/c would work the new runway in and as time passes the runway gets newer and longer. Kinda like a chia pet...
