I was wondering if anyone has booked round trip flights arriving at one airport and departing from a different airport in the same city. I am looking at flights into Houston on Delta and the flights arriving at IAH are the most convenient for me, however when leaving, the flights from HOU are the most convenient. Do airlines allow this under a single roundtrip fare, or would this require two one way fares?

TLH-generally, this will be mentioned in the fare rules. I believe, with IAH and HOU, that they are considered co-terminals as far as fares are concerned, so it doesn't cost more to fly out of one and return to another...in fact, I flew out of LGA and into JFK on a trip to Vegas a couple of weeks ago (through CLT on US going out, through SFO on UA coming back) and it was actually 75 dollars cheaper to do it that way...
