i have flown LHR-BA), Turkey">IST and back on BA probably close to 25 times, and have gotten different aircraft on a regular basis:
Service is typical BA. Have flown on TK once in C class...I believe it was an A310...long time ago though.
Anyway...don't know what nationality you have but beware that if you're a Brit or a US citizen, you'll have to buy a visa at the airport for $100 (i believe that is how much it costs now...back in 1996 it was only $25) and you'll have to wait in a bloody long line doing it. Then you'll have to goo into another line for immigration.
If you are south african (perhaps the obvious choice, looking at your country) i'm not sure what the procedure is.
TK is quite good, BA is standard BA...nothing special. If i had the choice in the matter, I'd go on Turkish....not for the 10 pounds, but just because I happen to like TK.
