Wasn't this supposed to get the paint in BEY?
Also, one of the A320s is supposed to be an ex-MEA.

VS346, you really think that Air Blue looks like jetBlue? Now, come on, that Air Blue A320 looks nothing like this...

Just look at it: the size of the "jetBlue"-titles on this plane is much smaller than the "Air Blue" titles are... Big grin

But seriously - if it weren't for the size in the titles, they'd really be identical - they could exchange planes and barely any (non-a.nut-)passenger would even notice!

As our fellow member MEA330 informed us,the AirBlue jets were painted in Beirut, and one of the A320s is an Ex-MEA , F-OHLO,the last A320 MEA operated. The livery looks ok,the bubbles on the tail look cool.

What in blazes is going on with this airplane's engine? It looks like its held together by duct tape and plastic wrap. I am sure there is a perfectly valid reason for the engine appearance but it scared the heck out of me when I first looked at the phot posted by Airmale.

the airblue titles are a lot larger, yes...but the overall "scheme" of the plane looks a bit too much like jetblue i think.

I think it's the name BLUE that gets people's minds thinking about Jetblue. Hope they turn out some great numbers and become profitable. All the luck in the world to them. Any plans to expand around the region or just inner-Pakistaini flights?
Regards

They plan on flying to the Middle East next year, I think the idea was to attract a more quality concious class of travellers, from home and abroad therefore the Jet Blue like image, could be the management/owners also experienced the airlines service or worked with them and were impresssed enough to start their own along those lines including the livery. So far it works as far as the extirior image is concerned, lets see hwo they fare service wise.

It's a complete rip-off of Menajet!

What are the top destinations from KHI?

Does Airblue plan on codesharing with anyone?

Rip off? how? theres is nothing like Mena's livery, and Air Blue are not an LCC. They will be serving Lahore and Islamabad initially and later Peshawar and Multan.

It was a badly constructed joke. There were some people here and in other posts that implied that airblue is something like jetblue. In another strain, the old menajet website looked a lot like that of jetblue. So I just connected the two.

Are nonstop flights possible b/w pakistan and north america?

PIA question: is MAN a hub? Are flights timed so that if I am flying from IAH to MAN, but the flight is continuing to LHE, could I connect onto another flight that is flying JFK-MAN-KHI?

Could I fly IAH-MAN-KHI in such a manner?

Airmale, do you think they can seriously impair PIA's performance on SR/MR Routes?

Will they have rights to fly to India after some time?

Mrniji, we'll have to wait and see, but PIA are going to feel the pich in some way as this airline seems to be targetting their customers and not those of Aero Asia or Shaheen. At present PK are the only designated carrier to India so Air Blue wount be operating there unless govt. gives approval, if that happens I'm sure they will fly there, rather than Aero Asia or the semi-govt/Air Force run Shaheen.
