Hi all-
I'd just like to point out that for several days now NW's Ship 1239, N239NW, has been in passenger service as the second DC-10-30 to emerge in the new livery. See the one and only picture on A.net here:

Does anyone know the date it emerged from the paintshop and which one is next in line for the new c/s? Sorry if this has been brought up previously; I ran a search but couldn't find anything.
Cheers!
-N243NW  Big thumbs up

B-52s don't take off. They scare the ground away.

Naturally, the plane looks great. Though, I wish I could SEE a bigger view. I can't even get the 'medium' to come up without getting an error message..  Insane

Caution wake turbulence, you are following a heavy jet.

I bet it looks just like the other one, 1226. This plane went into the paint shop the day 1226 left. So it has presumably been out a few weeks. Some planes are very evasive from the a.net photographers.

Looks wonderful! But the question now is how long do you think it will wear the scheme...the same question goes for those aging DC-9s...

I saw N239NW depart from Sea-Tac Monday afternoon. Yes, it looks even better in the sunshine.

I read originally that 1238 was going to be the 2nd DC10 in new livery and from the photograph I cannot determine that this aircraft is 1239 or 1238.

Please confirm identity.

I keep a tally of all aircraft in the new scheme by checking the photo pages. My tally is 120 of 448 aircraft as below - summary and all tail numbers.

It seems that the pace of painting the DC9 fleet has slowed.

Please update/correct if you have more info - actually sightings are better!!

Hey Peter,

thank you very, very much for that extensive list! It's good to hear that NW is continuing the repainting of the DC-10s! Smile Smile Smile Smile

I saw it today for the first time. Still don't like the tail. I love the rest of the plane though.

911, where is your emergency?

QFATWA:

It was definitely N239NW that I saw in the new colors at SEA on May 3. Your list includes every other plane that I know of in the new livery, and only one that I did not - N507US. Good work.

While I might agree with WaiGywer about the livery, I am glad to see the entire listing of aircraft in new colors. Last time I flew through MSP (end of March), it seemed like they had made significant progress in switching liveries.

I noticed you had a couple missing from your list that I have on mine. First is A330 N808NW (3808) which was just delivered last week. Second is A320 N322US (3222). Also note that there are only 70 A319s in the fleet as N313NB was written off last year after the accident at LaGuardia.

I'm missing N510US on my list and can't seem to find any pictures of it either in old or new colors online. Did you manage to spot this one in person, or is there a photo lurking out there somewhere?

Timf-
NWA does not operate a 757 with the number 5510....never could figure out why, but it goes from 5509 to 5511...it skips 5510...so don't try looking to hard, you won't find it..

Thanks Hammer, I had realized this sometime in the past but forgot about it just now. In that case the list that QFATWA should be updated to reflect 28 of 56 757s painted in new colors, in which case it then matches up with my list.

Thanks for the corrections. And for confirming Ship 1239.

I made two mistakes in transferring info to this page.

I do not have 510 in my lists, but typed the number sequentially between 503 and 512. I had 322 and just missed it!!

Anyone know the next to be painted or any which are in the hangars now?
