I've been to Hong Kong, a stunning city to be sure---unfortunately it was after Kai Tak closed so never saw it in action. I've certainly looked at its location and marvelled at how it must have been.

Can anyone recommend a good DVD or VHS of some intersting spotting/approaches, landings at Kai Tak and where to buy it? I know there are various but if there are any that stand out as better I'd be most grateful--

Please respjnd or email me if you prefer--many thanks--

Kind regards--

I've searched for years but can't find a good one. Especially the scene of the final turn of the Runway 13 landing.

Kai Tai - I missed you so much

Just Planes has a new 3 disc Kai Tak DVD box set, I haven't seen it yet but I
can expect it to be the usual high standard of the Just Planes DVDs.
here's a link: http://www.justplanes.com/HKG.html

There is also a whole series of Kai Tak DVDs/videos from Airplanes in Action, these include:
- Concorde's at Kai Tak
- Crash recovery
- Emergency landing
- Final year 1997-1998
- Final Days

Thank you all for the responses--I'm going to try the Just Planes DVDs--heard decent things--

I was in HK in Feb--the runway is still visible but there is high density bulding all around it--you can still visualize the approach though--pretty impressive--

Kind regards,
