I was wondering who else out there has flown Qatar Airways. To and from where? I flew on them in mid April this year from AB) (FRA / FRF / EDDF), Germany">FRA to Doha on an A300-600R and from there to Abu Dhabi on an A320-200. If you have flown Qatar Air, what did you think of it?

Welcome to A.net!
Ive flown QR several times, with A320s to DXB & AMM. they are an amazing airline, but from many people I have heard that their inter-mideast service (which I did not find too terrible) is complete crap compared to their international services. Their aircraft are clean and they are very proffesional. Excellent experience.

I flew Qatar Airways from LHR to Doha and Bangkok and return, in February 2004. From LHR I flew in an A330-200, excellent aircraft and service, a day stop in Doha with hotel provided by the airline, then onto BKK on an A300-600R, not so good for legroom, but service was again excellent.
The return journey was same aircraft as outward, only two hour wait in Doha.
Overall a very good airline, comparable to Emirates, Virgin and Singapore. I will certainly fly with them again and would recommend them to anyone.
Today, I am absolutely fantastic, tomorrow, who knows?

I flew Qatar Air once between Paris and Doha a few years back on my way to Calicut, India. It was fantastic. Nice, clean planes, good food, on time, friendly people, great entertainment. I'd love to fly them again

I don't know why they would say the inter mideast flights are crap. I thought their A320's were the nicest aircraft I have flown on ever. They had tons of leg room and the seats were better than on my last flight from AB) (FRA / FRF / EDDF), Germany">FRA. I was on an A300-600R from AB) (FRA / FRF / EDDF), Germany">FRA to Doha and it was a piece of crap. I had almost NO legroom, and the seats were tiny. If you ask me, their international flights are crap(at least the ones flown by the A300, I heard the A330 is pretty nice).
Cheers.

i flew with them about three years ago on one of their A300s from london to qatar. the experience wasn't all that bad, though they didn't have any PTV's, apart from that food and everything was pretty good. i had quite a bit fo fun as a matter of fact. and now i am aware of the fact that some of their busier routes are flown using A330's, which can be compared with EK. and also few days ago on a.net someone mentioned about qatar airways getting 5 star award. so they pretty good.
middle eastern flight i did doha to dubai on A300 as well. and i don't think it was bad well it was only 40 minutes, and most of the aeroplane was empty anyway.

I flew LHR-DOH-MLE vv on them APR2002 on A330 / A320.
Service was very good and the planes very nice.
Flights to and from LHR were very empty, so i had 5 seats . DOH-MLE was fully booked. No PVT and the food was probably very arabic, not to my taste.
We had a very long layover in DOH and they provided us with a day-room in a downtown hotel (***). Immigration was a hell. We must have spent more then 2 hours waiting before we were able to board the shuttle to the hotel.
I would fly them again if the destinaton and/or price would let me.
