PHOTO SCREENER

Hi everybody,

I thought I would share with you guys some small video clips I took on my flight early yesterday morning (May 9, 2004). I returned home to SJC from SAN on Southwest Airlines flight 125 on aircraft N699SW. The flight, aside from it being so darn early in the morning was very pleasant. These clips are very short because I had roughly 3 minutes of video left on my camera and had to use it conservatively.

Here's a shot of the aircraft I was on. I was shocked that no one had posted a pic of it on a.net. So luckily I found it at myaviation.net.

In the following video, we are at around 7000 Ft. Over my hometown, Morgan Hill which sits directly below the standard approach path about 20 DME from SJC. My neighborhood/house, although not visible here, is directly below the plane at this point. I especially like this clip because I have seen planes flying over my house thousands of times in my 21 years of existence and it's really fascinating when I get the rare chance to experience it from the opposite perspective.

Landing was a little firm as you can see in this final clip, but obviously nothing out of the norm. Sorry for the rather fixed angle of the wing and the ground. I was not only trying to avoid any glare from the rising sun on my side, but I was trying to watch the action out the window with my own two eyes and therefore wasn't paying full attention to the camera.  Innocent

Hope this works. Enjoy Big grin

Awesome videos, I love the approach into SJC...I can always spot my house when on approach.

I spent the morning downloading Quicktime on my work computer so I could watch them...i'm so productive sometimes.

I could try, but I'm sure quality will be lost in the conversion. Plus I'm running out of room to host them...

Why not just download Quicktime?

Not bad, eh?! Actually they were taken with my Kodak EasyShare DX4530 5.0 Megapixel camera! It's primarily a still camera. haha
