According to TAM's website, the company will increase its flights to the French capital to 2 daily on Tu, Thu and Sat effective on Jun 8. This flight will be flown by a A330-200 and up untill now there are it seems it is year-around.
This news come at a very good time as TAM has recently announced its results from 2003 and the company profited R$ 173,8 millions, one of the best results recorded in TAM's history.
Looks like things are starting to look a little bit better for the airline industry in Brazil.

Good news for JJ. I understand they have 9 A332's of which 2 are currently leased to SA. I think that adding frequencies to CDG will help JJ keep its 7 A332's in operation in the air longer, rather than sitting on GRU. Besides, the recovery of the Brazilian economy and the AF codeshare will help to have good loads and good yields. On the other hand, it is very nice to hear that JJ had a profit during 2003 despite the high airport charges and the raising prices of fuel. I think this is a clear signal that there will be no merger with RG. I hope JJ adds new destinations soon.

I agree with you Eddie! Hope that JJ add new destinations, and keep growing !
I just love this airline! one of the best I´ve ever flown!!
They could now get the old Transbrasil route, non-stop GRU-MCO, finishing in MIA... would be great!

My only experience on board JJ flights (CGH-VIX-CGH) was very pleasant. If they offer consistently high service, no doubt that they will be able to keep customers loyal to them and to add new ones. About the new destinations, I recall that a few months ago someone mentioned here in a.net that there were rumors in connection with adding HAV to JJ's routemap. I am not sure if that would be a wise move, but hopefully they will take advantage of the codeshare with AA and start flights from GRU to DFW, ORD or JFK. Maybe they could start with a 3 weekly flight with a stop in GIG.

Very good news for our Brazilian friends. Even though TAM does not fly to Colombia, I must say that they do generate a good first-look image, based only on what you read and see about them.
Neo,
Just a slice correction. The title of the post says: TAM To Go Double Daily On CDG!. If the second flight will only be operated 3 days of the week, it won't really be a second daily flight.

Today a leading Brazilian business journal reported that JJ's EBIT for the first quarter of 2004 was higher than Q1 2003's EBIT and that, as opposed to Q1 2003, JJ had a net profit during the first quarter of this year.
I guess things are going well for JJ, so congratulations!
