As part of it's eastern expansion, Quikair, which recently launched an Ottawa-Kitchener route, will soon add Montreal-Kitchener on May 31st. Two flights will be offered each business day. This is the first time anyone will have ever offered direct YUL-YKF service.

The ADM has a news release highlighting all their new flights for the summer sked: http://www.newswire.ca/en/releases/archive/May2004/12/c1991.html

Looks like Transaero to Moscow is a go too.

Cool, thanks for posting this info. Kitchener huh? Anyone where thinks this can work?

Transaero is a go...and so is Air Plus Comet. Good stuff.

QuikAir uses Jetstream 31's though I wonder if it is primarily the same operation that folded just a little while ago out of Calgary.

QuikAir was an arm of Alberta Flight Charters (dba ALTA Flight Charters) and suspended operation. With flights between Calgary and Edmonton Municipal. Alberta Flight Charters has bases is both locations.

Just like on the YOW-YKF run, YUL-YKF will see J31s too. This route should do well. The Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge-Guelph area has a population of around 400,000. It's about time the get some air service.

Quikair has a couple of cool interactive maps on their website . They also list their planned future routes which include:

YOW-YTZ
YUL-YTZ
YQG-YTZ
