Poland`s accession to the European Union surprisingly caused problems with inflight service onboard LOT Polish Airlines planes. Since May 1st no alcohol is served (except of beer) and sold, what makes many passengers really upset.
The problem is connected with the European tax regulations (now the airline will have to pay the excise tax).
It seems that LOT managers haven`t been aware of the new requirements what caused all that mess.
LOT`s spokesman assures that in the next few days the situation will return to normal.
