Everyone knows how horrible the delays on the ground at Newark can be...Who thinks they've had the longest delay from push back to take off?
The longest I've ever had was when the pilot told us we were number 37 for take off so we were gonna taxi between the two parallels and turn the engines off for a little while. Some drinks were passed out and cell phone usage was allowed. Eventually the 757 took off a few hours later bound to FLL.

The most I've ever had to wait at EWR is about 45 minutes and that was due to weather. The longest traffic wait I've had was about 25 minutes. If you want to talk about long taxi times look down south to IAH. Never seen anything like it.

I dont know about Newark...but I know once at JFK we were almost 2 hours in line for take off. We almost had to go back to refuel!! It was a transatlantic trip from JFK to MAD.
