Does anyone have the inside info on whether Emirates will choose LAX or SFO for their 2nd USA destination? I read sometime back that they would choose one of these two and start service late in 2004. Thanks.

Cba- SFO-DXB service is set to commence on Jan. 1st 2005, with government approval. YYZ, ORD, LAX, and IAH are all likely destinations to happen, but SFO will be the second destination, after JFK.

I'm surprised this hasn't recieved more A.Net attention.... as stated above, pending gov't-aprroval, emirates will serve SFO in 2005.
First off, DXB-SFO has to be an enormously long flight.... if not a record at least up there at the top somewhere. (are we sure its a nonstop, not a SFO-JFK-DXB diret flight?)
With Emirates' a380 order, SFO's new Intl terminal and the length of this route I am surprised noone has suggested that SFO might be the first place we see an A380 plop down in the USA. (aside from test flights)...
