Summary of their press release

new routes
3 September: Bratislava
17 September: Rome.
31 October: Madeira, Geneva, Istanbul, Manchester, Malta, Tenerife, Warsaw and Zurich.

Capacity increase
12 October : Cairo

routes withdrawn
September: Marseille
October: Bordeaux

Much of that is more or less "charter tourist destinations" where most seats will be sold to inclusive tour operators.

But Copenhagen to Bratislava, Manchester, Geneva, Zurich. They are all some of the "fat" high price routes served very well by Austrian, Swiss, BA and of course SAS. (When we consider Bratistava the same thing as Vienna).

We may be looking forward to a "price war" on these routes.

Maersk Air has suffered an economic setback during the last few years. But it looks as if they are going to invest in the future. They can afford it, the airline is only a very minor fraction of the Maersk Group.

Otherwise the owner, Mr. Moeller, wouldn't be building a new several hundred million dollars Opera House as a gift to Copenhagen city.

hmm, nothing to do with running Maersk Air, I am sure they will only have one or two years to show a positive development, it will be closed or fussioneted with another LCC like Sterling. The money to the Opera House is coming from a fund, in the company structure nothing to do with the company Maersk. I a way like Carnegie
