Hi!
According to the arrivals board the only flight that has not landed is
T3 4033R from NEWCASTLE-which looks like a extra flight-
Eastern Airways
According to the NEWCASTLE departures T3 4033 without the R to
ABERDEEN is delayed indefinately. This is only due at 1355

Whether these are related dont know

Cheers!
Tony

Just had a look at http://www.baa.com/main/airports/aberdeen/flight_arrivals_frame.html and within the last couple of minutes, flights BA4173 from BHX, BA1308 from LHR and BD364 from EBJ have landed.

The only out of the ordinary looking flight is T3 4033R from NCL - this doesn't show as having landed, and unlike other flights where landing times are usually 'rounded' to the nearest 5 minutes, this shows a landing due at 1252

EDITED to add.. Flytecomm shows a landing time of 2:58pm for the NCL flight referred to.

[Edited 2004-05-14 14:48:28]

EDITED to add even more...

If the flight into NCL is indefinitely delayed, is it possible the o/b flight from ABZ to NCL has had to return to ABZ? Just a thought.
Right type of aircraft for Eastern AW...

This airline and this aircraft are regularly involved in emergencies at ABZ.

Hi all

I was at the airport getting some shots of it  Smile

The Eastern Jetstream had a problem with it's nosegear. It was twisted at horizontal on landing.

Landed with no problems at all and vacated the runway to a taxyway. Passengers left the aircraft and boarded a bus.

Cheers

Bold statement UbiDenmark - care to back it up with facts?

Having quickly reviewed the DFT AAIB website for the past year I see no examples of any incidents investigated by the AAIB for either this airline or type of aircraft.

8/12/03 - Smoke alert in cockpit causes full emergency.
7/1/04 - Landing gear problem forces return to ABZ.
23/2/04 - Smoke from engine forces full evacuation.

And many others, quite disproportionate to the number of services they operate......

I'm afraid they won't be having my custom.

Thanks UbiDenmark

Does anyone know about incidents of other airports, or is it only ABZ that Eastern AW have a problem at?

Andy

Don't know what the pictures are like. Will need to get home and look at/process. If any good, they will be uploaded.

As for the Lear, have a search on Landings.com and it may help you out.

Cheers

Gary

Hi all

I take it UbiDenmark doesn't work for Eastern Airways.

I am pretty sure they won't be able to sleep at night thinking they will not be getting any bookings from you.

Me, I haven't flown with them yet as I haven't had the need to. Despite what has happened today, I would have no problems in flying with them at all.

Well said Granite!
I flew STN - MAN with Eastern last December
on a Jetstream 41 and thought they were great,
the best inflight service I've had in a long while!

I made a statement of fact and supported it when asked with other facts.

Why that should meet with a sarcastic response from a crew member is not clear (unless the facts themselves are not appealing.)
