Just wondering if anyone else is planning to attending the Airliner International 2004 show in Los Angeles this year? I am flying round trip from ATL to LAX on DL 767-400's, coming in July 8th and returning July 11th. If you want a good hotel the Sheraton Gateway LAX has a special $79.00 rate for those attending the convention. If you are coming out, are you planning on taking any of the tours or ramp tours?

I am skipping this year. My collection of airline stuff is out of control. So, I am curbing the appetite, if possible. Plus my pass will cost almost as much as a regular ticket. So, I plan to stay home.

Well, since I live in Long Beach, I will be going as well, probably won't purchase to much, but what the hell.

Yes, I plan to attend. Being a fleet junkie, I'm looking for past issues of JP Fleet Int'l to round out my collection. Plus I usually pick up other stuff as well.
I wonder if they will give an admission discount for all A.net members. Would be sweet. Regards.

They have cancelled the Martin 404 enthusiast flight because the good Ole FAA decided that the Company that operates the 404 needs to re-write its operations manual for the old bird.....Funny that....Thats too bad, it would have been a great thing to fly on!!!
The last plane ride I took at one of the conventions was back in 1991 in Orlando, Florida and Trans Florida was gviing a 30 min flight over Orlando in a Convair 240A, N91237 originally flown by Northeast, then Mohawk then Alaska Airlines. Funny thing is that I remember that the seat belt buckle still carried the old Mohawk Indian head logo on it.....It was a nice flight and definately worth the $40 bucks!!!
