Air France has ordered no less than 10 A380's in PAX config and the first one is scheduled to enter service in 2006, that we know. But, as a long time Airbus customer and with quite a large freight hauling network developed wordlwide, do you think they will add the A380-800F to their freighter fleet? They should, if they need to expand cargo capacity. Commonality (spare parts in MX and pilot training) is of course not a problem at all, since they will get the A380.
I was reading in one of my old magazine of Airliners an article all about the Airbus A380 super jumbo. Fed Ex has ordered the A380F. According to the article, Cargolux and Lufthansa are also interested in it, then I asked myself why not Air France?

The A380F can haul twice as much freight as an MD-11F can, and all the freight can be unloaded in as little as 22 minutes just like what it takes to unload an MD-11F.

Air France has added a year ago the B747-400F, which Cargolux launched 11 years ago. Cargolux may, if they still want to, add the A380-800F next decade, and they have never flown any type of Airbus. So Air France, as B747-400F operator, long time customer at Airbus and future operator of the A380, could add the A380F sometimes next decade. That would make sense.
