Hello Everyone!

I was watching a repeat last night of BBC's Airport TV series. I've noticed that I haven't seen any new episodes since early 2003.

Does anyone know if and when a new series is coming out??

Cheers!

Alasdair

We were discussing this a few weeks ago. Someone said the new series should be out later this summer.

What channel and when? All I've seen are endless repeats. Thanks.

Its on Uk people i think on Sky digital. It use t be on UK horisons until that was seperated into UK people and documentaries.

I think its on every weekday evening, around 7ish pm last time i checked. I'm not too sure now because i've recorded them on tape.

The shows on UKTV people are repeats! I guess the new series will come out in the autumn like the previous ones have.

Endless repeats... it's still got Jeremy Spake in it! No, the UKTV People one is a repeat from a long time ago (or so it seems). I guess if it goes digital before terrestial, it will be on one of BBC's digital channels first, not a repeat channel like UKTVxxx.

UKTV People shows all the episodes to date.

But i am certain that BBC will show the new series before UKTV. Thats the way its been in the past.

Nope, the new series has already been on UKTV People, ive only seen a couple of episodes due to revision, but i know they are the new series due to the different intro and the dates on the titles at the end! Although it may be the old series at the moment, the new one will come around again when they shown the old one all the way through!

MANmatt, the intro titles were changed for the previous series of airport. I really think you're getting mistaken with the 2003 series which are shown on UKTV people, along with the really old episodes.

Ok, i didnt know there was a series last year, ive just seen a couple of episodes where the introduction is a lot shorter, the music is a bit different and the background is a bit grey!

oh well. if that aint the new series then i dont know anything then.

All the episodes on UKTV are repeats from BBC1. That new intro is from the most recent series which was originally shown on BBC1. I much prefer the old music!

The new series will definitely be shown on the BBC, considering it's made by the BBC and "fly on the wall" documentaries are very popular, particularly considering Airport was the program that introduced the concept.

Yep, Shamrock_747, i completely agree, the older theme music sounds better, though the new one is good as well.

Airport has always been shown on BBC first, so it makes sence that this trend will continue

Why on earth would the BBC make a huge programme like airport and let UKTV get all the taking of it first anyway?  Big grin

BBC1 will definatly be the first to show it Big grin

Hmmm... I forgot the tongue-in-cheek smiley - of COURSE it will be on BBC first, doh! Sorry, I thought it would be obvious, but obviously not!
