Are you sure, that by end of JUN, LX will have withdrawn it's M11? In the CRS, the ORD flight is loaded at least till SEP04 opt with M11. Could it be a mistake or are there any delays in the 343 delivery?

When LX still had 13 A343 on order it was planned that 7 come in 3-class config and the remaining 6 in 2-class config. To my knowledge the idea has been dropped since only 9 A343 will join the fleet as of now.
I am also surprised to now see the MD11 flying ORD over the summerschedule. I don´t believe there is a delay in the A343 deliveries. But there was the idea of reconfiguring the A332 with the new interior (at least the new C-class) and they might continue to use the MD11 while one after the other gets rebuild (Just an idea).

Gabe: that was at least reported not so long ago by people, whoe are more than close to this business. But, the last day of operations of the last LX MD-11 is indeed a bit of a mistery. It's well possible, that 2 MD-11 will still be operated after June, as for example for charter flights to Portugal during Euro 2004.
Anyway, the last 2 A343 are due in June. I didn't hear of any delay so far.

That's already 1 more than they have! All these destinations above require the A343 and cannot be substituted with the A332 due to range issues. I guess that's why they're keeping the M11 until the start of the winter schedule and presumably one or some of these routes get reduced frequencies in order to squeeze all of them in (my bet is that LAX either gets the axe or is reduced)

HB-JMH was officially delivered to Swiss at 28 April 2004. But it is possible that the aircraft was still at TLS for a couple of weeks for interior outfitting or other checks. Air France and Iberia has also a couple of aircraft in stroage after the delivery
