I think United is the BEST airline in the world and I fly them all the time. However they are ticking me off because ORD-CDG is a 763. Normally thats not a big deal because I love widebodies and 763 but United's First Class on that plane SUCKS compared to that on the 777 and 744. But they sell it for the same price so my dad and I always wind up connecting at IAD (he goes to Paris often and i go with him)
So does anybody know if United has plans to upgrade it's 763 First to there First Suite? Thanks so much in advance!!

The 767 is way too narrow to put First Suites in... so, the answer is probably *NEVER*. However, there may be forthcoming some kind of enhancement to the 767-300, perhaps a two class product eliminating first and lie-flat business seats?

Welcome to the forums! Good to see another UA fan here on a.net. They are my favorite airline too.
I think that the 767s could have a narrower version of the first suite. The 767-400 prototype had some sort of pod seating (1 x 2 x 1 config.) in its display, IIRC. If it did happen, it wouldnt be angled towards the windows like the 772 and 744. I don't think that anything will happen until UA gets more funds to update its seating. I have heard RUMORS from UA employees that they are looking into lie-flat business seats after they come out of chapter 11.

what is wrong with the current ua F suite on the 400 and 777??only changes i would make is to stay competitive on the biz class product...other than that the suite rocks up front....and yes hottie they should either get the 300 into a psuedo suite kinda thing if they are gonna fly that across the pond...i say can the euro flts on the 300 and get them doing transcon

The current F suite is GREAT! Its just that if they upgrade their Business Class product to flatbeds, then mind as well upgrade their first class as well so as to distinguish itself from business class

if they would put the 67-300 F class seats in ual biz and touch it up to be more presentable that would really be good.have not seen the BA lay flat, but i can tell you UA(if they dont change it)biz is still up there on the good product meter for bizz service.....

Sorry, this is a little off the topic... but I don't understand why people have to be so blatantly rude on this forum so often. In this case, he was not complaining... He simply wanted to know something about an aircraft and explaining that the 777/747 offer a better first class product. If you have no useful information for the given topic and nothing polite to say, then just resist the urge to post your opinion.

even though you and i agree on the atsb loan, i personally do not think that ual will get the atsb to COSIGN on the loan,i hope glenn has some back up financing in place if they are rejected

UA at the end of this summer with a fixed amount (6 or 8) and will begin testing the lie flat business on 744 and "enhanced" business class on the 763.
The 777 will not see any changes as of yet, until they know for sure if they will fly in UA livery. If they can't re-fi at a lower rate then they will be history, and you will probably only see the 2-class domestic versions going to the big island.
