Does anyone know why BA's 772 G-YMMA is parked on Terminal 1 Stand 12 at Manchester right now? It is positioning MAN-LHR as BA9185P very shortly. It is very unusual to see a BA 777 here, especially on Terminal 1. Does anyone know why/what it operated into MAN as??

British Airways Boeing 777 G-YMMA departed to Cardiff from MAN early morning as BA9147 with Manchester United football supporters on board for their FA Cup final match.

Here it is arriving at MAN this morning:

Anyone know who organised and sold the tickets for this flight, and how much they were?

Taking the plane to the game seems a much better idea than the train, and definately better than driving and having nothing to drink. Will have tolook into it next time  Smile

If it was taking Man Utd fans to the cup final, why wasn't it operating LHR - CWL????

Yes, but there are no Man Utd fans in Manchester though, is there?  Big grin

When you hear the noise of the Tartan Army Boys, we'll be coming down the road!

BHX33R was making an attempt at humour. Manchester United are a team known worldwide, and as such, attract fans from all over the world. A popular joke to a lot of fans of other clubs is that a lot of Manchester United fans aren't from Manchester, but instead are from other places like London, Dublin, Singapore, etc.

BHX33R, I got it  Big thumbs up lol

Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away...
