Anyone know why? Swap or emergency?

Landed on 35L and is pulling into DL's gate on C as I type.

Maybe DL223 is being operated by a Song a/c instead of a DL aircraft today for whatever reason. It landed at 03:22 PM, right around when you made this post.

Well, he just departed off of RW08 last seen heading toward ATL's direction. It did have a DL cowling on the engine though.

I'm not at work today, but will find out why it is in DEN. I'll call some co-workers and report as soon as I know.

Ive flown on a SONG aircraft myself and I wouldnt be terrible upset if we were moved to a SONG aircraft (mostly coach pax). Everyone gets a PTV and better legroom than on mainline. Im sure those first class passengers will get some kind of compensation.

The funny part of this whole discussion is that DL and UA are running new 'low-cost' airlines. Everytime I've had a chance to fly either of these (Song or Ted), the price has been lower on mainline. The other comical part is that these 'low-cost' airlines have promised better service. C'mon guys, can't you just improve service on the mainline, redo some of the interiors on some planes instead of leasing new ones and having them painted in your "new" colors. We've really gotta add these new airlines to improve service and supposedly lower cost? GIMME A BREAK!

Smcmac32msn,
Yeah I realized that too. Every time I check the prices the main carrier always seems to have the best price, but again its not "low-fare" it is "low-cost". I think this is the difference.

Seems to have been an equipment substitution ship 113 to ship 0649. Was indeed a song aircraft. Must have been a nice coach flight for those who expected it to be in coach on the original flight. Only 5 first class passengers booked. I imagine that there would be some sort of compensation for those passengers not getting the booked first class seat. Hope this clears the air for yall. Glad you guys in DEN got to see a SongBird. Quite a nice bird they are.

Did we add another jetBlue Airways flight to Denver? I flew into DIA yesterday morning around 10:30am and saw one of their A320's at the gate. This is the first time I've seen jetBlue during the day at DIA. I'm thinking either there was a schedule change or it was a diversion...

Ah, just answered my own question. jetBlue added a DEN-JFK flight. Arrives at 10:20am and departs at 11:15am. Too bad it's going to be late October before I'll be able to get a high-quality slide of B6 at DIA...

My partner was in ANC last week and very surprised to see a TED A320 on approach into the field!

After talking with some friends up there it turns out that the aircraft had been painted but the interior not yet modified, still the same as UA mainline... Does anyone know if the Delta is doing this as well? That was my first thought when reading the headline fo this post.

As for B6 in DEN, we now have three flights a day. 2 JFK & 1 BOS! There were postions posted on jetBlue.com for Denver, anyone hear of any expansion out there... Would seem a little odd being that there is F9, UA and now TED to go head to head with on routes.

Smiles,

Delta (2x daily) and jetBlue (2x daily) have the only non-stops from Denver to JFK. United and Frontier have non-stops to LGA.
