STT757- I never can understand how some airlines like Co and BA can make a route work where as others can't. Maybe AA will do a 757 service like they do on the BOS-MAN route.
With that new 757 route, I think they should do what CO does and put some new business class seats on it (like the ones on the 763). AA needs a consistent, good T/A product. They have said that these flights make money for them and I think upgrading their equipment with new seats, IFE etc. would help them make even more money. I guess I can only dream though, considering today's financial situation.

Where did you get all of those information about new nonstop from MIA-MAN this year? How did you know about them? It would be very good news for MIA-MAN. When is begun new service to MAN?

AA and DL lack sufficient feed at JFK
I wouldnt agree with that, considering the many European flights each operate from JFK. Also, DL has been gradually improving its domestic operation at JFK, as of late.

Does seem odd to add Miami in winter schedule especially when VS have only just re-introduced the winter flights to Orlando !
Now only neede Los Angeles and we're back to the routes served before the Laker Crash those many years ago !

Ah, good news for MAN.
What's the likelihood of AA reintroducing a non-stop service to MAN from DFW? Lots and lots of connection possibilities there, though mainly to similar places as from ORD, ATL...

Pe@rson-
I hope BA decides that they need to build up their MAN longhaul operation and open MAN-DFW . I just hope that if DFW-MAN reopens(which very well could given AA's MAN build up) it is operated by BA. It's nice to see white aircraft at DFW every once in a while .
At the same time though, I can't figure out in AA's system what DFW offers that ORD and MIA do not offer as DFW seems to be a combination of the two, albeit with a little bit stronger domestic network.

Boysteve
CO had planned for a long time to re-introduce the 777 for the summer timetables, I guess due to predicted high demand over the summer months for tourist traffic. AFAIK (from what I've gathered from previous threads, amongst other things) the MAN-USA flights do have high Y class load factors during the summer.

For whatever it's worth, although it's not yet listed on SABRE's "New Market" news page, the service has indeed been loaded into SABRE. Flight 158 starts operating on 1 Nov and will leave MIA at 1830 and arrive at MAN at 0750 the next day. It will be operated with a 763. The return flight, flight 157, will depart MAN at 1135 and arrive at MIA at 1615.
I would expect a press release about the new service tomorrow, Monday.

27 Dazultra: Didnt Delta used to operate a 777 to MAN before changing to the 767? Its about time BA and AA changed their 767s for 777s Daz.
