Alitalia Raises EU Concerns

Rod Eddington, chief executive of British Airways, has written to Loyola de Palacio, the European transport commissioner, expressing the fear that "some sort of illegal state assistance will be used to resolve Alitalia's problems."


Can someone explain to me the provisions under the EU that pertain to European airlines?
