Im travelling to Cayo Coco in Cuba in July, and have booked the thomas cook + cabin.

however i cant find anywere or any review that explain what services and extras you get.

Has anyone travelled in this class and if so what do you get?

Thanks

I haven't flown in the premium class itself but I have flown on both TCX A330s (when they were JMC) and had a look at the premium cabin. You get bigger seat pitch than standard class, I think it's between 32" and 34" rather than 30" in Y class. The seats are also wider, arranged in 2-3-2 rather than 3-3-3. I seem to remember them being leather, although I don't know whether TCX have changed their interiors since they rebranded, so I can't guarantee this. You should find it fairly comfortable - I'm 6ft and the 30" pitch Y-class was just about OK for me, so premium should be good. I don't know what complimentary extras you get, but if you check the TCX website you might find something on there. You get PTVs, but then so do Y class.

You also get priority check-in and priority boarding (unless like, when I flew with them, they only had one airbridge so JMC+ passengers had to get on last.)

Have fun in Cuba! I'm going there as well this summer, but with Monarch - whose seat pitch, I'm led to believe, is smaller  Sad

Just found this while I should be revising for an exam tomorrow... if you scroll down to the comments towards the bottom, there is a picture of the TCX premium cabin.

Hey FLYtoEGCC, i flew with Monarch on their A330 (EOMA) to LAS a few years ago. Ok so they didnt have ptv's in economy but appart from that i found it to be a great flight.

It'll be fun!

Wouldn't it of been an idea to ask these types of questions before hand?!

You won't be disappointed I'm sure. TCX were good even in cattle class so you have no problems.

Last summer upgrades were as low as £70 return to the tcx+ cabin! And peaked at £200.

Then prices would only of been on short haul flights for them prices. I am upgrading when i go back to the Dom Rep flying MAN - POP this time with TCX in the premium cabin. Costing only £259pp rtn

yes they have. i remember them been quite low. maybe you get more things for your higer price.

all of the seats on our flight have sold though just think of the money they have made.

45 X £239 = 10,755.

10,755 X 10 flights in high season = 107550

The only time the A330's operated on short haul routes was for an aircraft sub, and then the premium class wasnt used.

If they've increased the prices that much you must get a better service than last year.

I'll try to find out when I start back at man airport. So i'll let you know in about a months time.

There was a choice last year. Oriental Chicken or Bangers and Mash outbound. Inbound it was Chicken Dijonaise or Roast Beef.

They have just launched a new website for the airline, where you can pick which seats you want o/b and i/b. There is a charge, but I think it is worth it, especially if there are 2 of you travelling together, because couples can be split, one behind each other because of the 2-3-2 config.

Not too sure if we are allowed to advertise websites, but is fairliy easy to find when your talking about that name, the fact it's an airline and add a co.uk and there you have it !!!
