MIAMI, May 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Airlines will inaugurate
new, daily nonstop service between Miami and Manchester, United Kingdom, on
Nov. 1, 2004. Manchester will become the fourth European destination served
by American from the Miami hub.
The first eastbound flight departs Miami on Nov. 1, and the first
westbound flight departs Manchester on Nov. 2. This seasonal service will
operate through April 30, 2005. The route will be served with a Boeing 767
aircraft with capacity for 29 Business-Class and 178 Coach-Class passengers.
"The United Kingdom is Florida's largest tourism market. The number of
visitors arriving from the U.K. is expected to grow appreciably this year --
and continue to grow in the coming years," said William D. Talbert III,
president & CEO, Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau. "American's
new direct Miami-Manchester service gives a welcome boost to Miami-Dade's
tourism industry and makes it easier than ever for U.K. tourists to visit us
here in Miami."
Miami is American's top international gateway. American and its regional
partner American Eagle operate the airport's largest flight schedule with more
than 200 flights a day to 90 destinations, including 35 cities in the United
States, three destinations in Europe, two in Canada and 50 in the Caribbean,
the Bahamas, and Latin America.
The following is American's new schedule to Manchester from Miami
International Airport (all times local):

Here is the news from Manchester Airports website (pretty mush the same wording).

American Airlines Announce New Manchester to Miami Service

American Airlines is to launch a new daily non-stop service between Miami and Manchester on November 1, 2004. American currently serves Chicago and Boston from Manchester.

The first eastbound flight departs Miami November 1, and the first westbound flight departs Manchester November 2. This seasonal service will operate until April 30, 2005. The route will be served with a Boeing 767-300 aircraft with capacity for 29 Business Class and 178 Economy Class passengers.

Manchester Airport Managing Director John Spooner said: "Manchester Airport
continues to grow with the best possible choice for many more business and leisure passengers. This announcement is more good news for transatlantic passengers from Manchester and we wish American Airlines well with the new route to Miami."

The announcement of the new service was also welcomed by William D. Talbert III, President & CEO, Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau; "The United Kingdom is one of Greater Miami and the Beaches' largest visitors markets. The number of visitors arriving from the UK is expected to grow appreciably this year - and continue to grow in the coming years," he said. "American's new direct Miami-Manchester service makes it easier than ever for UK visitors to vacation in Miami."

The schedule for the new flight is as follows:
Manchester to Miami
AA157 Departs @ 11:35 a.m. Arrives @ 4:15 p.m.

Miami to Manchester
AA158 Departs @ 6:30 p.m. Arrives @ 7:50 a.m. (*arrives following day)

IIRC, it is not the first MIA-MAN non-stops. Laker Airways II flew MIA-MAN.

Ah, MAH4546!!! I did not know that about Laker Airways was use nonstop from MIA-MAN some of long time ago. I did not any experience with the aviation. Thanks for explain to me.  Big thumbs up
