Thanks.

They have either 6 or 7 currently.

See, if they ordered Boeing birds, you could just go to boeing.com to figure this one out. As it is, it may actually require REAL RESEARCH!!! Wow!

They plan on operating any of those out of MSP? It sure would be nice to see 'em up there.

Now word yet on MSP service with A330s. My guess would be that it'll be sometime in 2005 (mid to late?). We do get the delivery flights, however. N807NW is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.

isn't 807 the lightning strike one? Isn't it going to add a sub to the 333 fleet

Geg2rap- I dont know if 807 had the lightning strike or the airframe damage. I know a few 333s have been damaged w/o even getting into NWA's possesion. Either way, I think this plane will open the door for LGW's service to DTW sometime this summer.

Anyone have a specific date for DTW to LGW service?

As of right the LGW service isn't going to start any earlier than intended. DTW-LGW is scheduled to start on 01NOV, a day after the seasonal DTW-FCO service ends. The delivery schedule of the A330's hasn't changed any so far.

NW's getting 7 A332 this year. In the fall, DTW-FCO will be suspended and DTW-AMS reduced to 3x daily; DTW-LGW will become A333 while MSP-AMS will become 2xD10, 1x333. Of course, this could change although it's uploaded into PARS.....

Yay, its time for our weekly NW A330 thread.....

This is more popular than the other NW aircraft fleet topic that shall remain nameless, and thats even been beaten by the A300 replacement topic as of late.

Yes, 807 is the lightning strike aircraft.
That will be the 8th A330-300, and last -300 until 2005.

DTW-LGW is timetabled to start on 30 October. I have a trip booked for 3 November LGW-DTW-LAS-DTW-LGW, in Business/First, so will try out the new seats on a new bird!
