The long awaited launch of Now Airlines at Luton Airport looks like it will never happen as many predicted.

The website explains they have gone into receivership and were unable to launch due to a lack of funding.

This ends months of speculation as they announced there intentions in March 2003, and were supposed to launch in June 2003 and was put back on numerous occassions. With the airline claiming the delays were due to CAA approval.

The airline claims they are considering re-structuring and may launch again at a later date, but it would not be very good to use the name that has been tarnished like this.

The airline claimed they were going to offer all seats on all flights for the same price regardless of when you book and when you travel.

When the airline announced their plans back in March 2003 they were met by sceptism by many airlines in the industry and loud mouth Michael O'Leary the CEO of Ryanair said at the time the airline shouldn't be called Now and they should be called Never. Seems like he was right!

On the positive side no passengers have been left stranded and they never took any bookings, so no customers should have lost any money. The people I feel sorry for are there staff who probably left perfectly good jobs to work for Now and are now redundant!

On the website they have a picture of what their 733's would have looked like and if they had launches they would have looked spectacular in my opinion.
