Big yes, but beautiful, NO!

Nothing beats the 747, probably the best looking large aircraft ever.

I really cant believe it. W Wow!W. The wings look quite similar to the A340's. I thought the wings were going to be much larger, but from another angle it is probably larger .W Wow!W. Airbus ( mankind) has taken a every extraordinary leap. Most people never thought of seeing a "super jumbo" anytime soon( like me) and there it is. What a wonderful aircraft.
Thanks for the up date futterman

Beautiful or ugly? That's a question.
No question: a nightmare for B.

The A380 does not require a two-level gate system. It is designed to board just as quickly as a 747 through two doors on the lower deck (similar height as a 747). The second level boards through the 1st door and uses the "grand staircase" to get to the uppeor deck. The lower deck passengers board through the 2nd door.

162 Alessandro : How do they going to test this bird? I recall the Comet being dumped into a swimming-pool to see where the weaknesses could be found. Is this practice
163 ACES320 : Those people standing in the tarmac look like ants. Can you imagine the thrust delivered during take off? I really want to book a seat in the maiden f
164 Anthsaun : Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but ugliness is ugliness. The cockpit is too low. It kills aesthetics. Also it looks like it is going to be a sh
165 Amhilde : Well of course its going to be ugly with parts missing, things hanging from the sides, and an unfinished body that looks the color of a cafeteria tra
166 Post contains images Sebolino : Nevertheless, Airbus is always a bus You mean that Boeing builds planes and Airbus busses ? They are quite good to sell busses at the price of planes.
167 KaiGywer : Can somebody please find a picture of a half done 747 in greens? Then, put it next to this one. Then these Airbus haters will see that not even the qu

169 RayChuang : It will be VERY interesting to see what the A380-800 looks like when it's parked side-by-side with a 747-400 (you'll definitely see that at SFO, where
170 FRAspotter : It might look ugly now to many people, but when it gets its nose, tail, completed wings and engines, and a paint job, i think most of you will change
171 Tu154m : I noticed in the pic showing it from behind that there was no center landing gear!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Does anyone know, when completed what will come of thi

175 Post contains images Flybynight : Seems a little bloated just like...
176 SLCPilot : OT: Where is the APU(s?) on the A380? What do they use? A CFM-56? SLCPilot
177 LacsaA320 : Quite amazing and impressive! Fugly at most!!!!!!!
178 Yukimizake : IMHO a sleeker nose with a slightly higher cockpit placement would have made this plane far more graceful. Airbus should have used an Italian design f
179 GDB : All aircraft are built for functionality, not looks, which is subjective anyway. 747 looked the way it was because ease of freighter conversion, since

181 LacsaA320 : "PS.- I find the "Airbus... will be buses" comment pretty pointless and unintelligent." CessnaLady Your comment is the one pointless and unintelligent
182 Henpol747 : Come on guys!! give her a chance, why don´t we just wait to see her finished, painted and flying and then retalk about it. If we could see all the pr
183 Post contains images 7E72004 : Flybynight..i was just thinking the same thing The length of the A380 seems a little "short."
184 MD-90 : I haven't noticed this comment, in case it's already here, but I wonder if the strange mid-level cockpit height was included to try and come close to
185 Cedarjet : This is a phenomenally gorgeous aircraft. The long curve from the top of the fuselage to the cockpit is niiiice. It's a really modern shape, whereas I
186 Post contains images Kalakaua : Damn, it's butt ugly... literally!
187 Lehpron : One word: MASSIVE Is it ugly cuz it's not finished or just cuz? Seriously, you can comment on size, but looks? It's not done! >> "Nothing beats the 74

191 Stefandotde : Great to see that a plane which is not finished yet gets so much attention. How afraid must a competitor (or fans from a competitor) be when this plan
192 AeroOzzie : Impressive looking thing...can't believe the number on here who are judging aircraft as a transport tool on its looks (and it's not even complete yet!
193 Post contains images Stefandotde : right, Aussie And i think a white 380 with a red tail and white roo would look great on it! Especially if there would be another (maybe grey or shaddo
194 Btblue : It's ugly but also beautiful. Ugly because it's not finished. When I looked at it (face on) I have to admit it looked ugly. Just wait till it is fiish
