According to the Air Canada website the airline has taken delivery of its first two A340-500 Registration Mark C-GKOL, and C-GKOM. I was wondering are they acually in fleet service if not when are they expected to enter service and when they do what routes are they going to fly, my guess is it will fly the trans-Pacific routes from Vancouver to Asia and Toronto to Asia. Does anyone have more information on this?

..the airline announced April 19th that it will use their newly acquired Airbus A340-500 jets on a new non-stop Toronto -Hong Kong route effective August 1st...The new non-stop flight will depart Toronto at 0945 daily and arrive in Hong Kong at 1315 local time the next day. This will allow connections to many other Asian cities. The eastbound flight will leave Hong Kong at 1515 arriving at Toronto at 1835hrs the same day.
