In this month Cairo Airport has seen a number of new East European carriers begin services from their respective hubs.

1. Aerosvit have begun a weekly Monday flight from Kiev (VV271)
2. SkyEurope have began twice weekly flights from Bratislava (NE6432/6430)
3. Hemus Air began a weekly Saturday flight from Sofia (DU693)

Also Lotus Air have weekly flights between Cairo and Warsaw, Poland with a mixture of A319s and A320s.
