Is the mistake that F9 started STL-ANC? Because I dont see it anywhere. if they did when did they announce that?!?! Otherwise its great to see F9 is seeing a profit int STL. I juts hope it doesnt scare AA or get into AA's profitbale routes.
Good things come to those who wait, better things come to those who go AFTER it!

STL/ANC is a mistake (by the reporter?). F9 #888 originates at MCI to DEN, then to ANC.
STL/DEN is certainly doing very well - that's why they're adding the 3rd flight. From the conference call today, STL/LAX has been "below system average" but is getting better. Still a question mark over that one, I guess.
Also in the conference call, the CEO said that there will be no new cities added in FY '05 - all growth (and there's a bunch) will be between existing cities.
40% of that growth will be at DEN, 38% at LAX and the rest will be at "other cities".
Sorry I don't have anything more specific for you STL guys.

Aren't most of the LAX routes thus far below system average? (assuming you meant systemwide average not LAX)
I don't really think that there will be massive growth by Frontier but I hope they will continue to expand little by little as carriers in STL seem to do nowadays. I was really expecting almost all of the growth to be between those two cities you mentioned, I'd just like some more options so when I get a chance to fly I won't have a problem getting somewhere on Frontier. I would like to see SAN or LGA started. I don't know about LGA LF's since it went to 5x S80, but I do know that SAN has a ridiculous LF for AA and has seen ZERO growth.

Some good news there, not much but every bit helps here. I wonder if F9 might be better off linking STL with cities east of DEN to start, MCI MSP DFW OMA and add some eastern legs like IAD LGA ATL and Florida. Get established in the market on routes that DEN can't accomodate geographically and raise brand awareness in STL. Then fill in with a few flights that overfly DEN.
Worth looking into.
Next Up: STL-DEN-SLC-SFO-PDX-ORD-STL in 25 hours. Two more states off my list.

Is Frontier running commercials on TV in the STL market?
I have talked with the National Air Traffic Controllers Rep at the STL tower many times and she says that airport management keeps saying some other airlines are waiting for the new runway to open up before starting new service.
